eBooks

Bowman Library has a large variety of books and eBooks that are chosen for their relevance to the courses offered.

  • You can access eBooks directly from the library catalog.
    • Click on the "View eBook" link to view the content and read it in your browser.
    • Depending on the title, you may be able to print and download whole chapters or even the entire eBook. These permissions are set by the publishers. For EBSCO eBooks, if the publisher allows downloads, you can download a portion of the book as a PDF to read offline. For ProQuest titles, you will need to ensure you have Adobe Digital Editions installed to read any downloaded eBooks. These ProQuest eBooks will be available for 24 hours.

Note: You will need to sign in using your Menlo username and password to access eBooks.

While the library makes an effort to purchase eBook titles with multiple user access, sometimes a title is only available for one user at a time. Usually those one user titles are provided by EBSCO and ProQuest. Below is an example of a one user title in EBSCO.

This is an example of a one user title in Proquest.

If you are trying to access a one user title in use, you might receive an error message when trying to access the title.

These titles have a limit of 2 hours per user, so check back later to see if the title is available.
