Beyond Hawaii lies an entire ocean of more than a hundred landmasses, ranging in size from the largest, New Guinea, to the smallest, Nauru, of which New Guinea is around 37,000 times the size.

While islands in the Pacific technically encompass parts of countries such as Japan, Australia, and Russia, for the purposes of this LibGuide, the Pacific Islands are those encompassed by Oceania, which excludes those land masses that are part of more continental countries.

New Zealand, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, and Samoa are some of the more well known of these Pacific Islands.

Below can be found a representation of the E-books that the Bowman Library houses that have been written on the literature, culture, famous persons, and social issues of one or more of these Pacific Islands. All are available with a valid Menlo ID.
